Ferrous metals contain iron as a major component. Their value and processing route depend on type, quality, contamination, dimensions and volume.
*Stainless steel is often treated separately commercially because of its nickel, chromium and other alloying elements.

High-performance alloys for demanding applications.
Superalloys are used at high temperatures, in corrosive environments and under heavy mechanical loads. XRF analysis can support initial identification.
