2. What data do we process?
When you contact us or use the request form, we may process your name, company name, email address, phone number, postcode or location, information about the material and estimated quantity, your comments, and any photos or documents you submit.
Our web hosting provider may also process technical log data required for the operation and security of the website, such as IP address, time and requested page.
When the form is submitted, the website briefly uses the IP address to calculate a pseudonymised rate-limit identifier using a secret key. The form does not write the raw IP address to its own anti-spam or delivery log. The web server or hosting provider may still record IP addresses in technical server logs.
3. Why do we process this data?
We use your data to assess your question or price estimate request, contact you, prepare arrangements and, where necessary, coordinate transport, material assessment or further services.
Processing is based on carrying out your request and, where applicable, preparing or performing an agreement. For security, spam prevention and proper website operation, we may rely on legitimate interests.
4. Files and attachments
You may send photos and documents to have a lot assessed. Only send information that is necessary for your request and avoid sensitive personal data that is not relevant.
5. Who do we share data with?
We do not sell your personal data. Data is only shared with service providers required for hosting, email processing or technical support, or where we are legally required to do so. The website is hosted by TransIP.
6. How long do we retain data?
Contact and price estimate requests that do not lead to an agreement are generally retained for no longer than 12 months after the last substantive contact. Data forming part of business or statutory records may be retained longer where a legal retention obligation applies.
The server-side anti-spam state contains only timestamps linked to a pseudonymised rate-limit identifier and is automatically removed no later than 48 hours afterwards. The form’s operational delivery log contains no name, email address, phone number, message, filename or IP address; it contains only a random request ID, delivery status, transport used, error code and attachment count. These technical delivery logs are retained for no more than 90 days.
7. Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, unauthorised access or unlawful processing. Access to received requests and attachments is limited to people who need them for their work.
8. Cookies and local storage
This website does not use tracking or marketing cookies. When submitting the contact form, a temporary functional session cookie may be used for security and to limit repeated automated submissions. The website may also remember your chosen language locally in your browser so the same language version can be opened on a future visit. Temporary session storage may be used to remember a dismissed language suggestion and form details entered during the same browser session. Form details are removed from this temporary storage after a successful submission. This functional storage is not used to track you for advertising purposes.
9. Your privacy rights
You may ask us to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data, or, where applicable, to transfer your data. You may also object to processing based on legitimate interests.
Send your request to info@vangelenrecycling.nl. We may request additional information to verify your identity before processing a request.
10. Filing a complaint
If you have a complaint about how we handle personal data, please contact us first. You also have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) via autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
11. Changes
We may update this privacy policy when our services, website or legislation change. The most recent version will always be available on this page.
