Exotic metal
We assess titanium lots such as sheet and tube offcuts, bar, components and production residues. Because different titanium grades do not automatically have the same value, traceable material information helps initial assessment.

Lot forms
Titanium can arise as clean sheet or tube offcuts, bar, formed components or machining residues. Keep grades and material forms separate where possible and tell us about oil or other contamination.
Material & application
Titanium includes several commercial grades and alloys. A solid sheet offcut and a batch of turnings may look related, but grade, form and contamination create different assessment requirements.
For machining residues it is important to know whether material is dry and segregated or mixed with coolant, steel, aluminium or other swarf. For solid material, grade markings and certificates are especially valuable.
Identification
Titanium cannot be identified reliably by colour alone. Where possible, check grade markings, certificates and origin. Keep different grades and materials separate.
Visual appearance is not enough to confirm a titanium grade. Retain material markings and keep unknown grey metals separate so reliable identification remains possible.

A handheld XRF analyser can provide an indicative elemental composition for many metals and alloys. This supports sorting and commercial assessment; where certified laboratory analysis is required, we discuss this in advance.

Estimated weight and postcode help assess logistics.
Certificates, grade, origin and part numbers when available.
We advise what information, analysis or logistics are required.
Valuation
Grade, physical form and contamination strongly influence how titanium residues can be handled. Each lot therefore needs its own assessment.
Commercially pure titanium and titanium alloys may be assessed differently.
Sheet, tube, bar, solid components and turnings are distinct streams.
Oil, coolant, steel particles and other metals strongly affect machining residues.
Separated grades and clean lots provide more certainty than mixed material.
Lot size, packing and accessibility influence logistics.
Current demand for the relevant titanium grade is part of the assessment.
Practical questions
Not necessarily, but a grade, stamp or certificate speeds up the first assessment.
Yes, they can be submitted. Tell us whether they are dry, segregated and whether oil, coolant or other metals are present.
For assessment, separate storage is strongly preferred. Mixing makes classification and processing more difficult.
Depending on quantity and location, transport can be arranged throughout the Benelux.
