Superalloy
We buy Hastelloy scrap and residual material, including sheet and tube offcuts, process components, fasteners and sorted production or cutting residues. Because Hastelloy grades can differ commercially, we consider grade, origin, sorting and condition. For Benelux lots and international enquiries, send photos, estimated weight and available material information for an initial price indication and assessment.

Lot forms
Hastelloy is often used where corrosion resistance is critical. Residual material can therefore come from piping, process equipment, components, sheet fabrication or maintenance projects.
Material & application
Hastelloy is a trade name covering several high-performance corrosion-resistant alloys within the broader nickel-alloy and superalloy category. The exact grade can matter technically and commercially, so colour or weight alone is not enough for identification.
During dismantling or maintenance, retain tags, flange markings, bills of material and material certificates wherever possible. This can prevent valuable alloy families from being mixed unnecessarily.
Identification
A material marking or certificate is valuable when available. If the grade is unknown, photos, application details and indicative analysis can help determine whether further sorting or verification is needed.
If the grade is unknown, include information about the original application. Markings, service context and indicative analysis can help determine whether further verification is required.

A handheld XRF analyser can provide an indicative elemental composition for many metals and alloys. This supports sorting and commercial assessment; where certified laboratory analysis is required, we discuss this in advance.

Valuation
Exact grade and material cleanliness are particularly relevant for Hastelloy. We provide an indication only after reviewing the actual lot.
Different Hastelloy grades have different chemical compositions.
Certificates, markings and origin support reliable classification.
Residues from chemical or industrial service may affect processing.
Sheet, tube, fittings and cutting offcuts require different handling.
Lot size, accessibility and location influence practical arrangements.
Available outlets and demand for a specific grade change over time.
Practical questions
Where grades are known, keep them separate. This allows a more accurate assessment of each alloy family.
No. Certificates help, but photos, markings, application and analysis data can also provide useful evidence.
Yes. Send photos and describe the service environment and any contamination; condition is part of the assessment.
No. Grade, condition, sorting, volume and current market conditions jointly determine the value of a lot.
